Fashion Parade
It’s the late eighties. You’re a fashion textiles student trying, unsuccessfully, to charm your way into a John Galliano or Ally Capellino show at London Design Week. You settle for waiting to buy a copy of September Vogue and catching all the highlights with Jeff, Caryn and Selena on The Clothes Show. The razzle-dazzle of the ‘catwalk’ show was one of those things that inspired me to become a designer; the excitement, anticipation, loud music, lights, creativity…..it’s never lost its appeal.
